In the tumultuous era under Former President Buhari’s regime, the unjust persecution of Ndigbo reached despicable heights with the vile state-sponsored litigation plotted to forcibly expel the people of Southeast from Nigeria, stripping them of their rightful properties even in the very heart of the North, including Abuja.
This legal assault was intricately entwined within Buhari’s insidious “Fulanization agenda,” cunningly devised by his cabals in collusion with Northern powerbrokers, notably the Northern Governors.
Operating in the shadows, they provided the covert backing and logistical support necessary for the COALITION OF NORTHERN GROUPS to execute their malevolent scheme against Ndigbo.
Simultaneously, the unleashing of deadly Fulani herdsmen upon the tranquil and prosperous Southeast was not a mere coincidence but a deliberate act to sow chaos and discord among the peaceful inhabitants.
Ndigbo keenly observed as this second wave of provocation unfolded through the covert sponsorship of a legal battle against them, spearheaded by key figures from the NORTHERN ELDERS FORUM and AREWA CONSULTATIVE FORUM, under the guise of their vicious proxies, the COALITION OF NORTHERN GROUPS.
This heinous orchestration against Ndigbo was carefully overseen by Former President Buhari to engender unrest in the Southeast, destabilize the region, and subject them to gross humiliation.
In response to the ruling by Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja, which rightfully struck out the baseless suit seeking the expulsion of Igbos from the Southeast due to the prolonged absence of the plaintiffs to substantiate their claims, MAZI OKECHUKWU ISIGUZORO, the Secretary General of OHANAEZE NDIGBO, hailed this as a resounding victory for Ndigbo both at home and in the diaspora.
Mazi Isiguzoro said the triumph underscores the continued failure of the vile conspiracies orchestrated by the Buhari administration against the resilient people of Southeast.
He further noted “Ndigbo endured the onslaught of state-sponsored terrorism orchestrated by Former President Buhari’s regime to destabilize the region, the lack of support and resources from Buhari and Northern politicians at the end of Buhari’s tenure, resulted in the conspicuous absence of the plaintiffs in the suit aimed at coercing the Abuja Federal High Court to rule in their favor for the forced expulsion of Igbos from Nigeria.
“Ndigbo earnestly implores these Northern factions not to pursue an appeal against the court’s verdict in the interest of national peace and reconciliation, advocating for unity and mutual understanding across our nation.
