In response to the growing outcry over hunger and starvation in Nigeria, the Kaduna Chapter of the Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation, led by Mr Suleiman Shittu, has launched an initiative to feed the less privileged in Kaduna State.

This program aims to alleviate the suffering caused by high food prices and economic instability.

According to Mr Suleiman, “we can not quench it (hunger) but at least a relief.” As he urged other well meaning Nigerians to key into the necessity and employ various ways towards alleviating the hunger among the Nigeria people.

The community leaders and the National Chairman of Leper Association, Hassan Lawal, where the program commenced expressed their gratitude to Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu for his timely intervention.

The Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation, a non-governmental and non-profit organization, has consistently demonstrated its commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians through various programs.

In addition to the feeding program, the foundation has also provided loans to business entrepreneurs to boost production, through its Executive Secretary, Rev. Mrs Jemima Ola Kalu.

Furthermore, the foundation is working on agricultural programs to increase food production in Nigeria, distributing resources and improved seedlings to local farmers across the country.

The Orji Kalu Foundation has also made significant contributions to education, offering opportunities for Nigerians to study medicine both within and outside the country.

With a vision to eradicate poverty in line with the Nigerian government’s goals, the foundation is dedicated to making a positive impact across the nation.

As the less privileged in Kaduna State benefit from the foundation’s efforts, preparations are underway to expand its reach and impact across Nigeria, particularly during this challenging economic period.
