Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi has finally addressed Nigerians on the issue of the planned nationwide protests.
Obi, in a video obtained by Daily9jaInfo, recorded by ChannelsTV said protest is in the constitution of the country, therefore, youths should be allowed to protest and show their grievances on against the economic hardship.
The former Anambra State governor who made the comment after meeting with Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, said, although, he believed that protest is legal, but it should be done under the ample of the law.
On the sponsors of the protest, Obi said hunger, poverty and hopelessness are the key sponsors of the protest and Nigerians has every right to protest when they feel they’re not being treated right.
“The sponsors of this protest is hunger, hopelessness and poverty. The govt has to listen to Nigerian youths, engage them and resolve the problems they’re speaking about,” Obi said.
