A tricycle operator on Thursday took his own life by hanging, after his tricycle (Keke Napep) was Impounded by the officers of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA.
The incident, according to multiple reports happened yesterday at Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
It was reported that the Keke operator begged several times in order to regain his tricycle, however, his pleading falls in deaf ears as he was asked to pay N200,000 before his tricycle will be released.
Reacting, the Keke operator took rope and hang himself at the backyard of the LASTMA office in Ikorodu.
