Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North Senatorial district has called for the suspension of the August #EndBadGovernance protest slated to start on August.

The former Abia State governor in a post on his verified Meta account called on the organizers to suspend the planned protest, noting that although, it may be beneficial to our democracy but it’s not expedient to our economy.

Kalu, while appealing to the aggrieved Nigerian youths, urged them to save possible damages the protest may cause on the country’s infrastructures and private businesses if highjacked by none State actors.

His words: “While embarking on national protest may be beneficial to our democracy, it is not expedient to our economy.

“I am appealing to our youths to consider suspending the planned August protest to save possible damages and liabilities on the country’s infrastructures and private businesses.—OUK
