Mr Eric Umeofia, the founder and President of Erisco Foods Limited have vowed to sue the lady customer, Chioma Egodi.
Daily9ja Info recalled that Egodi has in a social media content dropped a negative review of the Erisco Tin Tomato Paste. In a Facebook post, the lady said she bought the tin tomato and found out it’s too sugary and not healthy.
She went further to ask her Facebook friends if someone else has noticed. Although, she received mixed reactions from people who told her to pull the post down and not to kill Erisco’s products.
However, she insisted that it’s a harmless review and that led to the company’s involvement of the Nigerian security who arrested the lady and flown her to Force Headquarters Abuja.
Irked over the Erisco Foods action, Nigerians condemned the arrest of Egodi and asked she should be released which she later regained her freedom.
Speaking on Thursday on an Arise TV program, Mr Eric Umeofia, the founder of Erisco Foods said the lady must tender a letter of apology to the company, else, she will be facing N5 billion Naira lawsuits for trying to kill his brand.
He said following the lady’s post, the company lost a deal of five million dollars from China, adding that the lady must apologize via her social media account.
